Inspired by the 28 Scenes of Murder ukiyo-e (both the 1866 version and the 1988 revival). Jeez that's a hard style to reproduce.
Also I am quite phobic of centipedes, so looking at reference pictures for this was a harrowing experience. The girl's pose was fun to draw, though. I wanted to make it look unnatural, like her neck or spine was broken. I don't know why she's wearing a hannya mask. I'll leave it up to your imagination. I hope you like it. |
